Some players reported that there is no postcard "A Scenic View" (number 5) on the top of the bin.
The team has verified and confirmed that this is due to a bug. It will be fixed in the next patch.
Due to the heavy load on Steam while releasing patch 1.1, some players might experience problems with the game, including crashing or being unable to start the game.
In order to fix this, please repair the game files following these steps:
- Restart your computer and launch Steam
- Enter The Medium's page and select Manage > Properties.
- Select the Local files tab and click the Verify integrity of game files... button.
- Steam will verify the game's files - this process may take several minutes.
Some players might run into an invisible wall right after climbing the left side of the ledge near the broken bridge in the forest.
The team is aware of this. In the meantime, you can get out of by climbing back down. To avoid getting stuck again, move to the right and climb the ledge again further away from the bridge.
There's a chance you might find yourself getting stuck in the conference room, unable to interact with the chairs.
As a workaround, please reload the game using your save and avoid doing the same thing again. Our team is aware of this issue and we're working on a fix for it.
You may have experienced a loss of sound in the game after updating your Game Ready drivers. Reloading or reinstalling the game doesn't seem to solve this.
While changing the audio output might help fix this situation, our devs team is currently looking into a more permanent fix for this issue. Your patience is appreciated.
It's come to our attention that some users are unable to switch from 4k resolutions from within the in-game settings menu (the changes don't apply). All other settings seem to be working as intended.
As a workaround, please use your desktop's resolution settings to switch between resolutions if you're stuck in a 4k resolution in the Windows 10 version of The Medium. Our team is aware of this issue and we're working on a fix for it.

On some occasions, the mirror in Thomas's house will stay interactable after it's shattered.
If you interact with it, you will find yourself stuck in the Spirit World.
If you encounter this issue, please reload your last save and don't interact with the mirror after it breaks. Our team is aware of this issue and is working on resolving it.

On rare occasions, the first autosave after your first encounter with The Maw might become corrupt, resulting in a black screen after you reload the game. Our team is working on resolving this issue.
Meanwhile, a known workaround is to reload an earlier game save and continue playing until you reach the second autosave point after the chase. The game should save properly, and you will be able to continue unraveling Niwa's mysteries.
Our team is already aware of this issue issue and is currently working on a solution.
As a temporary solution, don't skip the second cutscene in the Funeral Home. Waiting until it ends will allow you to proceed without any other problems.
Our team is aware of this issue and is currently working on a solution. You might experience this on any hardware setup, but it is most common if you're playing The Medium on DX12 in a 4k resolution.
In order to avoid this error, please don't minimize the game window by using the Alt + Tab key combination while the game is loading.
If the issue still persists, please start the game again in DX11 mode.
We are aware of HDR performance issues and are closely monitoring this subject.
Meanwhile, if the game is too dark or too bright, please make sure that your PC/Xbox Series X|S is correctly calibrated:
